🧭 What to Bring & What to Expect

Be prepared for a comfortable and enjoyable time on the water
The weather on the Salish Sea can change quickly. To help ensure you stay warm, dry, and comfortable — no matter what the forecast brings — we’ve created this helpful guide for what to pack and expect during your charter.

🧥 Dress for All Conditions

Even on sunny days, conditions on the water can feel cooler. We recommend layering up.

  • 🧣 Layered clothing – Fleece or thermal layers are ideal. Dress for warmth and flexibility.

  • 👖 Long pants – Comfort is key; avoid shorts even in warmer weather.

  • 👟 Flat-soled shoes – Runners or non-marking shoes are perfect for grip and comfort on deck.

  • 🧤 Gloves & a hat – Always good to have on hand, especially during early morning or late evening trips.

🕶️ Essentials to Pack

  • 🌞 Sunscreen – Even overcast days can reflect UV rays off the water.

  • 🕶️ Sunglasses – Polarized lenses help reduce glare and make wildlife easier to spot.

  • 📸 Camera – Bring spare batteries and memory cards — there’s always something photo-worthy.

  • ⛑️ Motion sickness wristbands – We provide Sea-Bands onboard for guests who need them.

🍎 Food, Water & Washrooms

  • 💧 Water – Chilled bottled water is available for all guests.

  • 🥪 Snacks or a light meal – Bring your own. We have a cooler and running water, but due to food safety regulations, we cannot supply food.

  • 🏝️ Shore visits – When possible, we’ll stop at islands with food options and rest areas.

  • 🚻 Onboard washroom – A compact marine toilet is available. We also aim for stops at marinas with public restrooms when convenient.
